Bingham Fellows

PUTTING LEADERSHIP INTO ACTION, SOLUTIONS INTO PLACE.

The Bingham Fellows is the leadership-in-action arm of the Leadership Louisville Center. For over 20 years, the program has provided experienced leaders with the opportunity to develop solutions for our community's most pressing problems.

Learn about outcomes from prior Bingham Fellows classes.

Employers and individuals benefit from participation in a variety of ways:

  • Your organization will gain an insider's view and new insights to particular community issues.
  • There's simply no better way to meet and work with the area's top experts and key players.
  • The program provides advanced leadership experience in thinking big and effecting change.
  • Participants have the rare opportunity to make a significant difference while putting leadership skills to the test.

Who participates?

The Bingham Fellows program is comprised of graduates of other Leadership Louisville Center programs including Focus Louisville, Ignite Louisville, Leadership Louisville and the Leadership Network.  Graduates of other community leadership programs are also encouraged to participate.

“It was rewarding to work with so many bright, motivated people through the Bingham Fellows to create a framework for Louisville to take advantage of opportunities in sustainability."

-Cliff Ashburner (BF '10)
Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP

A peer-led experience

Participants in the Bingham Fellows class shape their own experience.  Putting their advanced leadership skills into action, participants work in small groups to further explore the topic and implement solutions.  This process is peer-led and activities are peer-executed.  A Leadership Louisville Center program manager facilitates the experience.

Topic for 2012:
Creating the path to prosperity – Engaging the community to inspire student success

Nothing is more important than education to quality of life and our ability to attract jobs. Be a part of the Bingham Fellows Class of 2012 and take a leadership role in one of the most compelling opportunities of our community today: addressing real-life challenges to maximize the family’s role in each child’s academic life.

As the community rallies around the goal of 55,000 Degrees and creating a college-going culture, the 2012 Bingham Fellows will explore and implement strategies to broaden resources for family, parent and community involvement in advancing student achievement.
